HISTORICAL AERONAUTICAL EXHIBITION
The Air Force Weapons Association - Arpino Section, born in 2004, is named after two brave Arpinati pilots, decorated with Silver Medals for Military Valor: Captain Enzo Sciucca and Benedetto De Arcangelis. On May 10, 2014, on the occasion of the Bicentenary of the foundation of the "Collegio Tulliano" and of the XXXIV Edition of the Certamen Ciceronianum Arpinas, he set up a permanent aeronautical exhibition. In the exhibition it is possible to see historical documents, memorabilia, uniforms, flight combinations and camouflage suits on display, a collection of model airplanes complete with all the aircraft in the Air Force since its constitution and one of international helicopters. Particular attention deserve: an OMI APR-87A aerial photography machine from 1940, an AS 148 / ARA-8 Antenna Assembly, used for communications and mounted on the fuselage of the P-51 aircraft, a combination of pilot and technical officer flight, a Specialist suit WWII, correspondence letters between two aviator officers dated 1917 and a collection of historical documentation from the years 1930-45.
